Really Not Wasting Any Time | Quickover 0.1

Meet Helena Quickover: young adult, single, freshly out from under her parents' watch.

Helena is a painter, but she can't afford the studio of her dreams quite yet. She's chasing the dream of being a critic one day but, until then, she'll grind out painting after painting, hoping for that elusive masterpiece.

Chester the dog! She absolutely adores her mother - who wouldn't - and wherever Helena is, this clingy little pup isn't far behind.

Well, that was fast. Where did this ray of sunshine come from? To be honest, I don't really remember because my screen capture program wasn't running and I lost a little game play. Oops. This is Erick Finney: fit, blonde, and ready for love. Helena has an aspiration for a big family, with an impressive lineage to follow in her footsteps. Is this the man that will join her on that journey?

When she's not watching her mother paint, Chester enjoys a nap on the couch. It might not be comfortable to those pesky Sims, but to a dog, this position is the best.

It's date night! Helena sensed a definite spark with Erick and invited him out for drinks in Brindleton Bay.

Things were maybe a bit timid at first. Shortly after...

Look at Erick flashing those bedroom eyes. While this particular date came to a relatively innocent end, Helena is already planning the next one.

Chester either really loves food or she's spending her time thinking about the prospect of having a new dad. It's definitely the latter.

Erick definitely felt a spark. This was a 3:30 in the morning text.

Don't worry, Helena isn't just about the romance. She has worked hard enough to afford much-needed improvements to her studio. That masterpiece can't be too far off now!

Even a little rain can't put a damper on our founder's dreams.

(Also I just really like the umbrellas.)

Another night, another date. A chance meeting at the Spice Festival quickly turned into the main event of the Flirt Festival.

Is our girl so irresistible that Erick decided to skip work to spend time with her? I don't condone it... at all... even if it is for love... Okay, maybe it's really adorable.

Who's this? A new friend maybe?

Ah, maybe not. Eating alone isn't all bad when live music is part of the deal, though.

While at the Spice Festival...

Helena wasn't the biggest fan of the bubble blower.

After a successful date and night in San Myshuno, what else is there to do but paint something inspired by it?

For some reason, I don't think this one is going to be Helena's biggest seller. It's the emotion behind it that counts, right?

Ya know, doing important self care things like, say, eating just really isn't fun when there's a future family and career to plan.

Helena: Oh, yeah, I'll definitely go to the gym with you... To work out... And not look at that body.

Erick: Want me to teach you how to punch?

Erm, not quite what she had in mind, Erick. I don't know how I feel about this Neighborhood Brawl thing. We're supposed to be loving, not fighting.

Chester: Mom, you have to eat, you can't just think about abs all day.

Is it just me or has Chester changed color?

Ah, yeah, that might help. Sometimes there's nothing better than reconnecting with your closest furry pal.

Next time: A simple kiss leads to... a whole lot more.
