The Plumbob Diaries

Canary's first official day as the Challenge Main Character just so happens to be Spooky Day. Sage had to get a picture of her kids dressed up, of course.

Cottage Living has been released and, naturally, I'm using it as a starting point for a brand new legacy: gillysims' Taylor Swift-inspired 9-generation challenge.

Canary is developing quite a sassy personality. She's definitely the kid I've focused on most, of course, and I feel bad for the other kids because they haven't gotten much of a path. After this part, when things become very Canary-centric, her siblings definitely just do their own thing all day, which is fine, but I hope that they have good lives after we move out.

YES, Salvatore, you're right - Celery was so special to us. I still miss him and it's been, like, over a real life week since his passing.

Let's start this post by looking at Canary's room makeover. It is, obviously, super yellow! I am obsessed with that bird rug.

Canary is looking and staying cool while her siblings and mom explore. She's much more comfortable sticking around the campsite.

Why not open this post with Celery's Face Apprecation!? HIS FACE IS SO FUNNY.

He is so judgmental. Canary's just trying to have a good time and he's not having it at all.

Now that Lark is a teen, she can help out more with chores around the house, including hanging the wash to dry. Which never works for me! Is it a glitch or does my in-game weather just suck that much? Couldn't tell ya.

The greenhouse is supposed to be a safe haven, not a bee swarming zone!

Oh, no! Celery's face looks just plain sick here! Blue is not his color.

It's nothing a quick trip to the vet can't fix. Sage is all about her herbal remedies and home births, but Celery needs the best care.

He looks so skeptical. I'm sorry, bud! It'll be okay!

CELERY IN A CONE! IS THIS A JOKE!? HE'S SO FUNNY.

I don't use highchairs a lot because I find they are more of a pain than a help most of the time but Canary likes them! Or maybe she just likes making a mess.

Lark is starting to help out more with the gardening. Pulling weeds is the most annoying of tasks but she's determined to get it done.

Sage doesn't talk to Patchy much, but when she does, she makes sure to check his pockets for free seeds.

Literally no point, it's just cute.

Um. Excuse me? There's a scarecrow walking around the house. And no one seems to mind?

Oh, sure, just help yourself to our cake. Go right ahead!

Sage isn't even fazed by her garden pal coming to life. Whatever. I guess he is harmless enough.

Even Dove is getting in on the action. Maybe Patchy can help her with her homework.

Yes, I take a bubble bath photo of every kid. No, there is no reason. It's just cute.

Lark needs to occupy herself with something when it's storming out, but I'm not sure learning violin will be the answer.

And, yes, just another one of those things I always take pictures of, as you know by now.

I'm not sure if yoga during a storm is the best idea, but who am I to stop you?

It's back to Granite Falls for a break from the rain, and to celebrate both Summer Fest and Canary's birthday!

Sage is using the trip as a way to get closer to her new boo, Salvatore.

The Serie sisters love playing in the sprinkler together.

It's time to blow out the candles! Canary is about to become a child. I wonder what she'll look like?

Since she's the heir, she can have an official CAS portrait. She's cute! And, of course, decked out in a lot of yellow.

Updated family picture time!

And a goofy one just for fun. I love this family so much!

It's another weekend, which means the Serie gang is back in Granite Falls. Sage brought along some veggie dogs to roast. What could possibly go wrong?

Yeah. That could go wrong. What is it with this bloodline and catching on fire?!

Luckily, Sage came prepared and quickly extinguishes Lark.

After the fire, it's an overall peaceful night in their tents.

It rains so much but that doesn't stop the girls from running around and having fun.

Hopefully the natural shower can wash away some of that ash still clinging to Lark.

Back home, summer makes itself known. Time to plant some new things!

The girls soak up the sun and cool off with a playful water balloon fight.

It looks like Dove's aim is a little off, though. Lark is not that in that direction but okay!

Dove likes watching Sage brew up some herbal remedies. She hopes to continue that tradition someday.

In the blink of an eye, it's Canary's birthday!

She looks like every other toddler which is to say, she's cute.

Those first few steps are always a bit terrifying.

Family portrait attempt #1. No one is smiling!

That's better! Sage's kids are all so cute.

Dove: "Ugh, seriously, Mom? You'd rather be reading then outside in the fresh air? I can't believe you."

Just two girls fishing in the dark out of the comfort of their backyard.

This was taken at the same time but it looks like daytime just trust me and not my editing skills, okay? Dove caught seaweed. In a pond. Pondweed?

Canary is cute and likes being inside.

She'd much rather be curled up on the couch than under the hot sun. Same!

Somehow, Sage has reached level 10 cooking skill. Pop off, garden salad and fruit salad queen!

Even these kids have to take a break from playing to do their homework.

Oh, Celery. Never strays far from his mom's side.

And, yes, I know the greenhouse is very lacking. I had a vision in my head but I got rid of the CC I wanted to use so now I'm at a loss.

Another birthday! We are about to have our first teenager! I can't believe it.

Here is Lark and she is beautiful! I love her so much.

The oldest and the youngest. I genuinely just think they are so cute. I can't wait for Canary to be a teen and to really see what she looks like (currently I'm one day away from her teen birthday in-game! SO EXCITED!).
