Dear Diary
After years of wanting it but never having a working PC that would run it, I finally am able to play Sims 4. And I love it (as I knew I would). I am going to chronicle my progress here - mostly focusing on challenges and legacies but also showcasing other random Sims related things that I do. I currently am playing both a Disney Princess Challenge and an Alphabetacy (an alphabetical legacy), but I am paying a lot more attention to the latter. I love the little family I have created.
Some notes about my game play:
- For my legacies, I don't really follow the "official" legacy rules. I start small and modest and pick an heir each generation and go from there. Easy enough. No money cheats or anything like that.
- I do use custom content and mods. I steer away from the clayified Maxis hair and much prefer alpha creations when it comes to that, but for clothes and skin details and such, I do stick with Maxis Match. Basically, I like realistic hair (eyelashes and brows included) but not realistic skins or eyes. Some of the mods that I use are MC Command Center, custom traits and careers, and an aging mod that changes the duration of each age to be a bit more realistically proportional.
- I'm not the biggest fan of building. I will probably get most of my houses and other lots from the Gallery. I do love furnishing, though, and will be doing a lot of it.
As of this intro post, I have Seasons, Cats and Dogs, City Living, and the Laundry Day pack. My priorities next will be the remaining 2 expansion packs, Parenthood, and Dine Out.
I have a lot of screen caps to edit and share, so bear with me as I get the ball rolling. And bear with me as I lose my mind over a game that has been out since 2014. If you're here reading this, you probably understand. I'll leave you with a teaser. Meet Helena, the founder of my Alphabetacy. I hope you'll love her as much as I do.
