They Just Keep Getting Older | Quickover 2.9

by - October 12, 2018

Previously: There was a bad mood bug spreading around the house like wildfire.

No time to waste - it's Beatrix's birthday!

These Sims make the weirdest faces when blowing out candles, I swear.

Here's her sisters, getting the party started with some confetti and a nice little ditty on the horn. Not sure where they are getting these things but, hey, they want to make Beatrix's day special so I won't be one to stop them.

She aged up into a weird color of hair and it inspired me to stay with that theme but in kind of an opposite direction.

We went dark! The first of any of the Quickovers to have dyed hair, what a trailblazer. I really, really love this Sim. I see both Molly and Arwen in her (which is a great thing, obviously) and her face is just so pretty.

Beatrix isn't so sure about being a teenager, though. I promise it's gonna be great, girl.

Briony: And then Mom took my horn away because she said I was being obnoxious! Can you believe that?!

Who doesn't love a dance party in the office? Probably Molly, who is trying to make a mobile app.

Well if this isn't the lap of luxury... Where did this mud come from? Why are you wasting those cucumbers?!

Beatrix has already entered her first foul-mouthed phase. I love a good cuss word so I can't say that I'm entirely disappointed. Expand that vocabulary, Bea.

After working so hard for so long, we have finally made it. Arwen is a full-fledged Astronaut. Even though there is a lot more to come with this career track, it's great to have this title.

Molly: Did somebody say promotion? Where's mine!?

Maybe if your family wasn't causing such a scene while you were trying to work last night, you'd have one, Molly. I'm so sorry.

Oh boy, Bea's phase has found its way to Briony. She's so cute when she's angry, though!

Beatrix must have great self-control to sleep with a cup of tea next to her. You're telling me she's not going to roll over once in the night? Yeah, okay. She's gonna wake up with some wet sheets, guarantee it.

I find it hard to get good swimming pictures but I just like this one because it looks like Bethany and Beatrix are trying to get Briony in some sort of sister sandwich and she's just floating there, accepting her fate.

With one kid almost a young adult, another a teen, and Briony a foul-mouthed child, Arwen and Molly decided to finally invest in a parenting board (otherwise known as I just remember it was a thing you could have).

Again with the fighting, Wednesday?! I know I can't understand your language and I don't know if you can understand mine but, girl, listen to me: BE NICE.

When you get two colorful people together, they have to document it.

Bethany: I can do this by myself, Mom, jeez.
Molly: I'm just going to pretend that didn't hurt me and stay right here by your side, honey.

Beatrix: I know that spots are sometimes a part of puberty but I don't think they were talking about this kind of spots, right, Mom?

Arwen: Right. Unless I'm also going through puberty again.

The dining room got a bit of a makeover. Goodbye, circle table, you served us well.

Arwen: Curfew, eh? Don't mind if I do.

These girls are angels though and never even came close to missing that 11 o'clock deadline.

Arwen is missing the days of her childhood so she took it upon herself to hit the pavement and hunt down some frogs.

Isn't it beautiful? Look at that butterfly!

Tegan: Hey, Arwen! Hey. Girl! Hey!
Arwen: Just keep walking. I don't hear a thing.

Isn't being a kid just so hard?! The angst is real.

School project time - again - and I just really like this face she's making.

Also... Bethany built this robot. He doesn't do much but it's still impressive.

Annnnnnd selfie time. Again. I can relate.
