BUBBLEGUM QUICKFIRE (Founder/Gen 1) | Pastel Patisserie 1

by - May 30, 2021

The Pastel Patisserie Legacy Challenge: Not So Berry-adjacent, but with pastel colors and different stories. The founder, or the Bubblegum Generation, loves baking and makes their money doing only that. They have one child with their spouse, whom they meet at their bakery, and spoil them rotten. They want to have the best baking club in town and, when their kid sets out on their own, they adopt another, to fill their empty home.

Meet Norah Serie (yes, just the last 5 letters of the word patisserie): cheerful, good, and a glutton. I initially made her for another challenge and didn't change her name to be related to her gen's color, so she's just Norah.

It didn't take long for Norah to find some neighbors to join her baking club.

She invested in a sales table and set up shop around Windenburg, offering cakes and breads and cookies to anyone around.

The club meetings didn't always go off without a hitch, though...

After a while, Norah had enough saved up to purchase a plot of land, a cash register, and a couple display cases. She'll never forget her first customer, a young girl.

Determined to make her business a success, she applied for a loan from SimCity Bank and built an actual building to house her precious baked goods.

One day, a customer named Lyle walked in.

They fell in love.

The store had its ups and downs. Orange Bailey-Moon shopped there! A guy was electrocuted and died right outside the door!

After a short time of dating, Norah popped the question. Lyle said yes!

Not long after, Norah got pregnant. She worked and baked up until she went into labor.

They named their daughter Lyla - a combination of Lyle and Norah that is almost all of lilac (the second generation's color is lavender).

Lyla spent most of her time after school and on the weekends at the bakery. She loved to dance and chat with the customers.

Sometimes, tensions got high. Lyla wanted some kind of freedom, to do something other than sit around and sell cupcakes.

Soon enough, she was about to become a teenager, and Norah and Lyle knew that even all of their spoiling wouldn't keep Lyla from starting her own journey.

Just a couple of random moments from when Norah's story wasn't the main plot anymore.

After Lyla moved out, Lyle and Norah adopted Luke! He fit in perfectly with his (temporary, probably dyed with Kool-Aid) pink hair.

Next up, a look at Lyla's life as the Lavender Generation - DJ EXTRAORDINAIRE! Kind of.
