The Plumbob Diaries

Since becoming girlfriends, Olive spends a lot of time at Ciel's place. After a long day of checking temperatures and taking swab samples, Ciel loves playing Sim Scuffle.

Being a mother is a lot of hard work but a lot of fun.

Sometimes it's nice to take a break from the gaming and appreciate nature, though.

We stan Marion here at The Plumbob Diaries.

One night, on a special little date (I believe it was on Love Day, fittingly), Ciel decided that, even though she prefers solitude, she loves Olive too much not to make her a permanent part of the family.

Olive said yes, of course.

I'm pretty sure this is just to show off the shoe clutter that came with Dream Home Decorator.

Ciel can perform surgical procedures now! These tubes aren't just for having babies! Who knew?

In the blink of an eye, it's time for Marion's birthday.

First order of business as a kid? Making a mess behind her mother's back, naturally.

Ciel doesn't even change out of her lab coat and scrubs before fully immersing herself into whatever story Marion has dreamt up for her dolls.

And cue the wedding screenshot spam...

Ciel decided to take in the clouds. Or maybe she's laying down so she doesn't pass out from nerves.

Is there tension between Lyla and Luke? (Ignore his baldness, I've been slowly sorting through all of my CC hairs and he was an unfortunate victim to the purge. Also... that body shape.)

Everyone decided to sit in the back. As long as they are sitting, I don't care.

They are so precious.

They were very nice to each other and didn't make a mess with the cake.

She may be an elder, but Lyla still has what it takes on the dancefloor.

On second thought, her back might be putting up a protest.

Was Lyla this grumpy in her generation? I don't think so!

And, of course, Olive gets to join the family portrait.

I LOVE THIS FAMILY!

Next time: baby makes four?

On Ciel's first night in her new home, she is visited by some friends and family. And a robot.

She doesn't have much decor yet, but she is sure to hang her graduation photo front and center. Ditto for her diploma.

After a good night's sleep, it is time for Ciel's first day on the job! She is officially an intern! (And, yes, the game did put her at level 8 in the career since she has a degree but I went back down to the beginning.)

Her tasks are pretty mundane at first. Making beds and delivering food isn't glamorous, but Ciel knows that bedside manner is important, so she tries her best to come out of her shell and be friendly with the patients.

Ciel started running while she was in college and, turns out, she really enjoys it!

She is also still getting familiar with knitting needles.

Olive knows just what to bring to make sure Ciel doesn't have to keep working hard after getting home from the hospital. PIZZA!

Ciel knows one thing for sure: she wants to be a parent as soon as possible. Knowing her Uncle Luke was adopted has always made her want to consider the option for herself. She knows it isn't quite the right time yet - she's still settling into her work and home routine after all -- but she thinks reading some parenting books is a good place to start.

In my head, Ciel would want to mostly work with children. There's no option to be a pediatrician, but we can pretend!

The hospital has a bunch of equipment to get used to, but Ciel's history with tech makes it a breeze.

This game is so pretty!

The doctor career is a bit repetitive but I'm having a good time with it.

And Ciel is making great strides! Keep the promotions coming, girl.

And then I played for a little while and my screenshot program wasn't working so I missed some exciting moments AKA it was finally time to adopt and start a little family unit.

So, meet Marion. She is so cute! Ciel took to motherhood so quickly.

And this happened, too. Love is in the air. It went a little something like, "Hey, we've known each other since we were kids and there's never been anyone else that makes me feel the way you do. Let's make it official?" And Olive was all, "YES!"

It's New Year's Eve and Ciel is spending it her favorite way: at home with Olive.

I love the animations for putting toddlers to bed.

At work, Ciel now has the expertise to use the X-ray Machine.

Her job is exhausting, so she takes every opportunity she gets to rest.

Officially a nurse! Our bank account is loving this.

CC is the best. This rocking horse is so cool.

CC is the best. [2] The family portrait is so fun.

Marion likes to spill paint anywhere but on the paper.

Instead of cleaning up the mess, Ciel decides that teaching her daughter different words is more important. It's all about those quality bonding moments.

We'll wrap this post up on a not-so-great note. Sometimes being a nurse is hard! Our diagnoses aren't always correct and that can really hurt our work performance. Hopefully Ciel can get back on track soon.
