The Plumbob Diaries

It's the dead of winter and when Sage isn't feeding or changing Lark, she's working on an epic snowpal.

Winterfest is rapidly approaching and she has Marion over to help decorate the tree.

After the halls are decked, it's time for everyone to meet the new addition. Ciel looks worryingly distraught about Lark's arrival.

Celery aged up! He is a giant FLOOF.

It's time for the family gift exchange. Luca's box didn't hold much of value.

Why do they always hold the gift so far away from them like there might be an explosive involved?

Father Winter arrives and Sage is pumped! It appears as if he just walked straight over Celery, though.

I tried to take a nice family portrait but Ciel is blocking Olive, Luca looks absolutely over it, and, oh yeah, SAGE IS FREEZING TO DEATH!

Remember just one post ago when Celery was a tiny puppy in the tub? He's so big now.

"Yes, Mom, my baby is all of two days old, it'd be great if you didn't gossip about her?!"

This lady is wild. Dirty little hoarder?! Excuse me?

Living alone sucks when everything decides to break. Sage hates handiness.

Cue the horns: it's birthday time. Baby number one is about to become a toddlin' tot.

Lark is, of course, adorable. All of the toddlers are, considering they all pretty much look the same.

Celery is in a sweater and sticking close to his new little friend.

I'm trying to have Sage take lots of pictures of her kids. Here is one of Lark outside in the snow.

Don't they look so good together out on a walk in their matching green outerwear?

Old farmhouse full of things to explore? Lark is on it. She loves making a mess of the cupboards.

And her favorite napping spot is outside in the tent.

Meanwhile, Sage is back on the prowl. In front of partner number 1, she's trying to find a potential Sim for partner number 2.

While Lark plays, Sage flirts in the background.

She finds this particular specimen extremely attractive, which... to each their own. But who am I to keep a woman from what she wants?

There's always time for a brief skate!

It's a quick bath and then off to bed for Lark because...

Momma's got a hot date! It's straight into the bed for her and baby parent #2 (yes, I've forgotten his name).

Success! Sage is pregnant once again. Will this baby be the heir? Time will tell...

Celery has the cutest spot in the house and Sage makes him homemade meals while his feeder sits completely full. Lucky puppy.

After finding out she's pregnant, Sage wastes no time in inviting Marion over to tell her the news. She looks to be both excited and kind of caught off guard.

Sage, though, is super happy with her decision to become a mom.

Her bestie, Joanne, also seems pretty excited with the news.

She gets a bit confused, though, when Sage explains that she wants to have a big family but doesn't really want to settle down with any particular partner.

Morning sickness is no joke!

CELERY BREAK!!!

I tried this out for one Flea Market. Sage hawked some of the balms she crafted and a few fish and some wax. It didn't go well.

She did, however, meet this beauty! Potential partner material? Maybe...

As Sage progresses in her pregnancy, Marion comes around to the idea of being an aunt.

Morning sickness and mood swings? Well, no one said it was going to be easy, that's for sure.

I'm not sorry that I'm just obsessed with Baby Puppy Celery.

Let's not forget that Sage has to reach at least level 5 of the Wellness skill. It's a bit too cold to do yoga outside, so one of the empty bedrooms upstairs will suffice.

With the baby still not born, there's not many opportunities to be social at home. Sage supposes the scarecrow will be an okay conversationalist for the time being.

BABY PUPPY CELERY BATH TIME! He's so small.

Uh-oh. That looks like the face of someone who just felt the initial pains of labor.

But there's always time to play in the snow, right? Sage is ridiculous.

Joanne came over to take Sage to the hospital but Sage was all, "no, girl, we're doing it here." Needless to say, Joanne was shocked.

And she called in reinforcements in the form of Mama Olive.

Bestie Joanne stayed supportive and by Sage's side as she breathed and pushed and yelled.

But it was all instantly made better when this little girl was born.

Meet Lark, Sage's first of (at least) five.

Next time, Sage gets comfortable in motherhood and continues to love the outdoors.

Sage is out on her own in Brindleton Bay. One of her gen requirements is to live in a rural neighborhood/area and this lot in the B-Bay definitely fits the bill. Surrounded by woods with a little fishing hole a short walk away, it's the perfect location for putting down roots.

(This is Base Game Farmhouse by lilsimsie! I changed up some of the landscaping, added solar panels, changed up the doors, but credit to her!)

With her planter boxes from home and a few extras, Sage has gotten a pretty good start on her garden. My ultimate goal is to have a really nice greenhouse for her, but that hasn't happened yet.

I also have Sage farming crickets and raising bees. These aren't really included in the challenge rules but I don't care, it fits her lifestyle and doesn't bring in that much extra money.

New family member! I had this doggo in mind since Sage became a child. I wanted her to have a big, fluffy farm dog to roam the property and snuggle up with the babies.

So, meet Celery (celery is a shade of green, just like pistachio and Sage)!

I love the way the kitchen and dining area look.. A big family portrait surrounded by empty space for family pictures, and touches of green all around.

Sage wastes no time breaking in her new appliances with a batch of insect repellant.

What better way to explore a new area with a new pet than by taking an adventure? Sage and Celery decide to scope out the lighthouse.

With her solar panels, wind turbine, and rain collector, it makes sense that Sage has a recycle bin, too!

As one of her requirements is to have 5 kids, there is no time for Sage to waste. I don't know if she'll have all of them in rapid succession, but I do want to get started so I'm not stuck in mid- to late-adulthood with a bunch of toddlers.

I literally clicked "order favorite drink." It's not my fault your favorite drink is for a pet! Unless the bartender just screwed up that badly?

But even if he did, it doesn't matter, because he most definitely might pop up later in an important role.

I don't want to make Sage a really big animal lover, because I believe there's a future generation that kind of deals with that, but I just can't help it when there are so many cuties roaming all over town.

Oh, look. The bartender. I'm so surprised!

Just Celery relaxing with his pride-themed ball while his mom puts the moves on her first lover.

Everyone say, "THANK YOU, MOM!"

I kind of wish they'd change the first kiss animation so that the receiving Sim wouldn't look so shocked but, hey, maybe they should work on the big bugs in-game first, right?

Part of being a homeowner is fixing things when they're broken. This turbine is a pain to keep functional!

Does Olive hate Celery? Why is she making this face?

The bug farm is coming along nicely. Collecting nuggets is a real blast, let me tell ya.

Well, would you look at that?! Who's back and in bed? The bartender.

And, what do we have here?! Our first pregnancy?! I mean, what else are you going to do when it's winter and Granite Falls doesn't have much to offer in the way of unidentified plants?

Time to tell the dad. He may be hyperventilating in this picture. It's gonna be okay, bud.

He still looks a bit freaked out, but I'm sure it'll blow over.

Next time, we meet Sage's first baby! Will they be the heir? Stay tuned.
