Can You Feel the Love Tonight? | Quickover 1.15

by - September 23, 2018

Previously: The Quickovers rang in the New Year with a new puppy and some flirtation.

I didn't want to bore you with every interaction ever between these two so let me just preface this by saying that things moved very fast. Just like with Helena and Erick, August and Rhea know what they want and what they want is each other.

Look at that sunshine! What a great setting for a little date.

Is August suddenly a vampire? Whatever, Rhea is completely into it.

August wanted to go to another location and Rhea was game... as long as she got to wear this gold astronaut outfit? Okay. You do you. You're neither an astronaut nor a living statue so, cool, I guess.

Huh, what a nice and romantic gazebo. I wonder what could possibly have inspired August to move the date here?

August: Oh God, don't back out now, dude, just clear that throat and get on with it.

Like I said, things move kind of quickly in this family.

If August would ever get the ring out of his pocket we could get a move on.

I still remember when it was Helena on bended knee so many years ago. Like mother, like son. *Sniffs*

Rhea: How did you afford a rock this big?
August: So... is that a yes or what?

It's a yes! And, believe me, I am just as shocked as some of your nonexistent readers are that we got someone so beautiful to marry the, let's be real, kind of totally dorky August. I love you, but it's the truth, kid.

Awwwwww. Don't drop her or else.

Just a little mood lighting from afar. I had to give them a little bit of privacy in the gazebo as things were starting to get a bit steamy.

So steamy, in fact, that a little bit of privacy was required.

August is ready and raring to go; it is, after all, his very first WooHoo. Getting engaged and getting laid all within hours? What a high!

August: Mom! I have a lot of news!

Helena's arms being so stiff makes it seem like she's a bit worried about what her son is going to tell her.

But she's happy for him because of course she is. Who wouldn't be?

Helena: We're so happy for you, son, just really proud of you and wish you all the best.
Erick: But we're not paying for the wedding.

In other blossoming love news, Arwen decided to reveal her crush on Molly (as if it wasn't obvious) and, at first, it didn't seem to go so well.

Don't worry, kid, I know for a fact that things will only go up from here.

See! It's already on an upward trajectory. I see those smiles.

I've never seen Arwen look this shy before. What is she up to?

AHHHH! Okay. It's happening! Stay calm, everyone. I promise Molly was into it, even though her face is a little "what the hell is going on" in this picture.

While at the Humor and Hijinks Festival, you choose your side. Which do you think these kissin' teens picked?

They went with the Pranksters. Of course. I'm not saying that Molly is a bad influence, because I love her, and Arwen isn't exactly a little angel, herself. So, naturally, Pranksters.

They've found their first victim. He already looks apprehensive.

Arwen: Is it just me or does this dude smell?

Not very subtle there, sister, but I guess that's all part of the Pranksters thing.

I'm not really sure what was happening here. Probably some mean joke on this poor guy's behalf. Not to echo that sentiment, but his ears do look really big from this angle.

Arwen: These are my crazy eyes. Do you like them?

Okay, so, the Quickovers are definitely vampires, right?

It doesn't even matter because both Arwen and August have found women who are completely into it.

A Sim rite of passage: the bubble blower. Molly was quite apprehensive about it and only took one hit before calling it a day.

Arwen fared about the same, hastily entering a fit of coughing and exhaling bubbles.

Okay, whoa, whoa, whoa. Things are getting a little out of control. Why don't we call it a night?

I'm not sure but they might be becoming girlfriends here. I'm pretty sure it happened sometime during this night.

To top this entire night off, the girls snap an adorable selfie to be immediately posted on Simstagram with some kind of cheesy caption like, "Great night at the Festival with this cutie."

See, Arwen, I told you things would only go up from that first awkward confession.
