Drinking Life | Quickover 1.17
Previously: Life continued in the Quickover home. That's it, that's the summary.
When you're with your soulmate, the spark never goes out.
In his old age, bored with retirement, Erick decides to take up woodworking.
It doesn't seem to be going all that well, but he's not one to give up.
Wow... it looks like he cut some smaller pieces of wood from that big block of wood. Way to go, Erick. Really nice job.
Helena: Hello, Truman, sorry that you're kind of just an afterthought!
Just kidding, Helena is an angel, she would never say that. Truman is just a less camera-friendly dog than his predecessors and that's totally fine.
Look how small Truman is compared to Erick's bulky self! How does he keep this fit? I don't let him work out because I don't want him to die. This is sorcery.
She'll never admit it but Arwen definitely takes after her father. She knows she'll have to be pretty handy if she wants to be flying around space so she is going to follow in his footsteps and work some wood.
I mean... I'm no expert but this knife handling seems less than great.
And she's really making no progress but, hey, she's trying.
I love the activity table but, obviously, Adrian would rather just... touch it? Kinda weird but live your life.
So, the secret is out. Erick was supposed to die on his daughter's birthday but I could not allow that to happen. Aspiration store, here we come.
I know you're apprehensive, but this is the right choice. You can't send everyone into a spiral of sadness on Arwen's birthday, damn it!
Arwen is clearly feeling this look. She's ready to be a young adult and, spoiler, carry on the Quickover alphabet.
Erick: Hey, kid, wanna know something funny? I was supposed to die today.
Adrian: Haha, good one, Dad!
I gave you extra life so you can bake the damn cake and be happy about it.
Okay, Arwen is milking every last second of this teenage angst.
If this is how you wanna show up for your sister-in-law's* birthday, so be it. I won't stop you, Rhea.
*Technically maybe not because Rhea and August never got married but technicalities be damned!
Here come the toddlin' tots! Tegan is looking so adorable in her calico kitten dress.
And Oliver is the most dashing chunk ever.
Arwen: But what if I just stay a teen forever?
Too late, baby, 'cause dad already put candles on the cake.
Do Sims make wishes when they blow out the candles? I wish that was a thing, kind of like the resolutions for New Year's Eve, you can make a wish based on what you want to achieve in your next life stage. I need a mod.
Oh, nevermind, she definitely wished to be a tornado.
Annnnd, it's anticlimactic because she looks exactly the same! With Helena, I could tell the differences in her as she got older but with Arwen, who is now an adult, she still looks really young to me.
Arwen: Hey, girl, I'm technically an adult now, what do you wanna do?
Not sure what the point of this picture is but, I mean, Rhea is always beautiful and Oliver was the most adorable toddler so it's here and you're gonna deal with it.
Okay, I guess we got our answer to Arwen's earlier question. Keep it safe, ladies.
Don't you just love the love in this game? I just love love.
This is about as much physical activity as I allow Erick to do anymore and, even then, he doesn't swim for long. You never know when your time is up, dude, and you didn't drink that potion for you to do something stupid like die in a pool.
