The End of an Era | Quickover 1.18
Previously: Erick cheats death and Arwen gets a step closer to carrying on the family's alphabetical naming tradition after aging up into a young adult.
Erick: Hey, baby, how do you like these pits?
Another brief date night for these two.
I would say one thing I need to work on in my game play is not getting so set in a certain plan, especially when it comes to romance. If I find a Sim that I find attractive and think would make cute babies with whoever I'm looking to set up, it's like no questions asked, they're going to be together. This definitely comes into play way later in my In the City spin-off so I can talk about it more then, I guess.
Since they are full-fledged young adults now, drinks at the bar is way more acceptable.
As is wobbily cheering on some random karaoke-goer while tipsy.
Okay, so, sometime in this post, Molly moves into the house and I'm just using this picture to put that out into the world. Molly lives here now.
That treat is literally as big as Truman's head, Adrian, I don't think he needs the whole thing.
Arwen, it's not nice to use an airhorn so close to your elderly father's ears.
And if you do, at least don't laugh so hard at it. Let the man live his life peacefully, dang it!
Adrian has this friend from school who has a similar sense of mischievous humor as he does.
She also is rocking a pair of pajamas as her everyday look so I completely stan this Townie.
Umm... she doesn't look too amused now, though, so maybe put the hijinks on the back burner, bud.
Oh, for the love of... Don't mess up my path, you weirdo! I have to revoke my stan card now!
I stumbled upon a bucket of water balloons in the park for the first time so you know what that means, don't you?
Uh, Molly, you and Arwen are supposed to be a team, why are you aiming at her?
That face is definitely one of impending revenge.
The kiddos take aim. Will their shots land true?
According to these reactions, no. They missed their marks. What happened to that confidence, Adrian?
Oh, it seems to have bounced over to his sister. Cute moves.
Adrian finally hit his target and Molly is not pleased at all.
Guess what? She can hit her target too, young man. Needless to say, the grown-ups won this round.
Remember that revenge I was talking about? Here it is in good ol' hand buzzer form.

Even Helena is getting in on the spirit of Prank Day (or whatever it's called). It looks like she's scaring Erick half to death.
All in good fun, though.
Oh. Oh, okay. Who knew that fooling someone could lead to such romance?
Here we are, friends. The time has come. In-game, this happened a long time ago, but revisiting it here is definitely pulling at my heartstrings. I'm not going to say much because what is there to really say when the Founder of your legacy dies?
Once the family members start to file in, that's when things start to get super emotional (like they weren't already).
Molly hasn't known Helena for very long but she was welcomed into their home with such open arms and accepted as her daughter's first love. That's a bond that won't be broken and Molly feels like she will never reach what Helena was as a mother and wife and artist, but she sure is going to try.
Adrian went to bed looking like this. Those little sad lips. I can't. Also - just now noticing his eyebrows are a different color. Cool.
Kill me. Take me with you, Helena, because I cannot handle this.
The last painting ever created by Helena Quickover. Naturally, it will always hang in her greenhouse and studio.
Erick channels his grief by doing what his wife loved - painting. It kind of looks like he's better than her, if I'm honest.
Arwen decided to sleep in her parents' bed and she is so sad and she just misses her mom already and it's like life will never be the same.
