Living Easy | Desert Dreams 2

by - October 16, 2018

Previously: Bethany, her girlfriend, and their best friend set out on their own in Oasis Springs.

Tessa loves escaping to her office to dig into a good book and gather inspiration for her own stories.

Meanwhile, Raegen has discovered the epic beverage known as coffee. She's going to be up for days.

I sent Bethany out on a little collecting mission. Here she is trying to get a frog out of this well.

And here she is harvesting some plants. I don't know who these plants belong to. I think it might be like a community garden situation but I couldn't tell you for sure.

If we did steal these harvestables from some unsuspecting NPC, so sorry, but you're not getting them back.

After all that coffee, Raegen needed to wind down. For some reason, she has to wear a pink knit hat while getting a massage. Whatever.

A nice soak in the mud bath definitely helps calm what feels like all of her nerves having a dance party under her skin.

Yoga didn't go so well though. I think she farted. Or pulled a muscle. Either way, there are no successful tree poses happening here.

You know when there's just that one Sim you want to show off all the time? This is another case of that.

Let's all watch as Raegen attempts a sick dive.

Look at this form. Arms could be wrapped around the knees a little more but I won't knock any points off for that. It's not like we're at the Simlympics.

Straight as an arrow into the water. What a talent!

All that desert exploring sure does wear a person out.

Raegen loves whipping up tofu dogs on the grill. That charcoal really just adds something special, you know?

Post-tofu dog meditation is the perfect nightcap.

For someone who has to be at work at, like four in the morning during the week, Bethany really relishes the days she can sleep in and roll out of bed for some cereal around noon.

Raegen is wide awake and ready for a day full of relaxation and contemplation.

But relaxation and contemplation might have to wait a bit. Who knew incense could cause such a big fire?

Never fear, these girls are ready for any and all emergencies and keep fire extinguishers close by.

Good as new! Well. Not really. If you want to sleep on a bed of soot, it's good as new. I think our girl is used to a bit more extravagance than that.

Tessa: Now there's a plot twist no one will see coming! Sim Society of Books Award, here I come!

Tessa: Oh, wait, it sucks. I have to delete everything. I will never write another word. I will never set my fingers upon a keyboard again.

Okay, we're getting a little dramatic here. I'm sure it's not that bad.

Tessa: I'm a hack, Rae, no one will ever buy my stuff!
Raegen: You just gotta find one thing and really own it. You know, like those people who only write Amish romances.

Raegen was doing a bit of storytelling practice in the mirror and things got very animated.

Raegen: And then Rumspringa came to an end and I never saw Amos again.

I'm not sure how many people want to hear that story, Rae.

Who else can take the trash out and look this flawless while doing it?

Here I am, just showing off this build. Lot details are in the first Desert Dreams post.

I gave them a nice cabana area and a little shaded area for Raegen's yoga mat and meditation stool.

Arwen: I hate the desert. Why did she have to move here? It's so hot.

It's nice that the girls can still get along this well after the fight that was the final nail in the coffin for Bethany living at home.

It's snowing in the desert and I am loving it, even though it's not even Spooky Day and nowhere near winter.

You're telling me it's that cold? Just put on pants, Raegen, don't light the damn fireplace up.
