I've Been Blogging For How Long And I Just Discovered THIS | Not So Berry 2

by - October 17, 2018

Sometimes my pictures upload in reverse order! Some of my posts have been pretty much backwards! How have I never noticed this before? This is a disaster. This one is right though, don't worry.

Previously: Minze Nichtbeeren set out to begin a life of mischief and science. Things are going pretty well, if I do say so myself.

Also, I definitely pronounce Minze as Min-zie, even though it's really pronounced Min-zuh and so, yeah. Sorry, Germany.

A little light reading before bed, Minze's collection of mischief books is her favorite thing.

Starting the day off with some chess is a surefire way to get those neurons firing.

Back at work, Minze is dying to try out this anti-hunger solution thing she made. Who better to test it than an eager coworker?

And Supriya is quick to chug the whole thing. I wouldn't be so confident if I were you; after all, it is Minze's, like, third day on the job.

Eh, so far, so good. No visible negative effects, at least. We might be good at this scientist thing!

Yeah! Another promotion! We are moving on up that career ladder and I am so proud.

Bath time for Luna. I don't know if keeping the harness on is really the best choice but... okay... Think of how damp it's going to be! EW.

Our coworker, Marcus, invited us out to The Bluffs. Our first party, how exciting!

We are looking great in our cold weather wear, fashionable for the party, yet comfy and takes the chill off. Also, it's fitting that Marcus' last name is Flex - he looks ripped!

Of course, every good party starts with a power nap on a stone bench, partially hidden by weeds.

We can't attend a party without stirring up a little trouble. I don't remember exactly what we did to this guy but it was definitely fun.

This cracks me up for some reason. Everyone is dancing and having a good time and, here we are, standing around with our phone in the air like we're at a concert during the slow jam.

We also threw a drink on this unsuspecting lady. Sometimes I worry that Minze is a bit too mean, but then I remember that this is just who we are and we need to own it, baby!

Here is our growing element collection. I lost one of the cubes so we really have five elements, not just the four that are in the rack.

And a cute minty living room shot. I'm not color coordinating the whole house (I'm not that extra and/or dedicated), but there are definitely some touches throughout that will change according to the generation.

I wouldn't say that we aren't on good terms with our coworkers, because we are, but we definitely aren't close enough to be asking for spur-of-the-moment cheek swabs for DNA testing. You'll drink some untested concoction but won't rub a Q-tip around your mouth, Supriya? Okay. Makes sense.

Penny came over for some dinner and I think she knows how hard we worked all day, only to come home and make this delicious entree, because that look on her face is totally not convincing, but she's still trying hard to seem like she likes our food.

Okay, maybe she was convincing enough. Minze planted this big, wet kiss on her. I'm also just now noticing Penny's absolutely amazing earrings.

If this isn't the sweetest thing! Luna can never be too far from her mama.

Chip up, Minz. Your life has only just begun, really, and once everything falls into place, you'll laugh at this negativity.

And with one last annoying chain letter, Minze has made some more progress towards completing her aspiration. Go, girl!

Aw, thanks, honey!

Here is a look at another one of Minze's everyday outfits. Not over-the-top mint with every piece of the ensemble, but it gets the point across.

I was really pushing this Penny thing hard. We took Luna to the park and just so happened to invite her along, too.

Minze: Me? Trying too hard? Never!

Well, whatever we're doing, it worked. These two got hot and heavy after that park date.

Wait. How dare this woman pull an air horn on us, the Maestro of Mischief? You have some nerve, lady in red.

AND THEN. Everything changed.

My game was glitching so hard. My main Quickover file was, and remains, fine, but my Not So Berry one was horrible. The Sims would constantly freeze up and get stuck in a time loop and resetting them wouldn't fix the problem. So. I saved Minze and Luna to the gallery and started a new game. She kept her job level, her skills, all of that, but sadly, we have to start our element collection from scratch. That's not too bad, though.

I've yet to play a lot in this new save file, but so far, it's been okay. The real test will be when I play in a couple of long stretches. SO. From here on out, we have a new house (Dock Den on The Island in Windenburg) and some things are going to be different.

One thing that stays the same? Minze's jealousy. It has yet to really rear its head, but we will see how it progresses throughout her life.

Any sane person's first activity in their new home would be to take a citrus bath, right? Right.

Penny came over to help us decorate the new place and she decided to test out this ice cream maker.

What better flavor to start with than mint chocolate chip? It's as big as Minze's head!

In this new game, things aren't really gelling between Penny and Minze. I think we might have to seek out a different romantic option (or a couple different ones). I'll keep you posted.

Is this brain freeze or Minze contemplating about how much her life has resembled a roller coaster lately?
