Angry Gnome | Quickover 2.13

by - October 18, 2018

Previously: The Quickover girls adopted Penny and Beatrix met a new man. That's right - A MAN. I can make straight Sims, I swear.

Another morning in the Quickover house. Briony is up early and ready to get a head start on the day.

Aw, crap. This can only mean one thing. Happy Harvestfest!

Shit, shit, shit, this one is not happy! Back away slowly, Arwen.

Didn't you hear me?! BACK AWAY. Too late now. Enjoy your shock.

Don't glance at your daughter like she's going to do anything to help you. You had your chance, you could've ran away.

Ugh, fine, here's Briony to clean up after your mess, Arwen.

YES! I knew she'd come through. Now that's a happy gnome trio.

Harvestfest prep is well under way. It looks like Molly is attempting a... grilled piece of bread? Work. Love carbs.

Here is another school project demonstration. This one is pretty cool, I won't lie. Do you think Briony is having flashbacks to her mother being electrocuted by the gnome earlier in the morning?

Beatrix: Hey, Mom, I invited a guy I've hung out with once to dinner. Is that cool? Cool!

Briony got a dance floor in her room and Penny straight up hates it. She also really needs a bath.

Is Bethany the black sheep of the family? I can definitely relate. I, too, have had many a Harvestfest meal at a bar away from the main table.

Well if this isn't the definition of "cool kids table," I don't know what is. Also, peep Sai's nice little makeover - I'm sure you can barely recognize him without that atrocity of an outfit, right?

There's just a lot going on here that I feel very connected to: being on the phone, watching TV instead of having conversation around the table. This post is stirring up so many feelings. With the holiday season approaching quite rapidly, will I be destined to exile once again?

All right, let's keep on topic here:

Raegen may be smiling but she looks dead behind the eyes.

Rae, under her breath: Why am I here again?

Why is this everyone's favorite place to talk?!

Even though Beatrix's work keeps her pretty much confined to computers and other technology, she still needs some good ol' fashioned painting skill to help her along the way.

Shades of Helena all over again.

Harvestfest ended quietly and we have a bunch of new seeds to show for it. Who grows that many plants? I don't need all these godforsaken seed packets! Why can't the gnomes give us something helpful, like money?

Oh, my God, this is just foul. Penny. How have we not taught you better?

Who needs pumpkin pie when you can instead work off that Grand Meal bulk by continuing to build a giant rocket in your backyard?

Arwen, I don't know how to break this to you, but while you were outside working hard on that rocket, Penny's head was shoved into the toilet and, well, these kisses are very tainted. I'm so sorry.

The holiday is over and that means back to work and back to school for our girls. Briony, naturally, is more into her phone than her homework.

Except, she's really smart and an A student because I just can't let my kids be anything other than an A student, damn it! I need to let myself loosen my grip. I think it'd be fun to have a few kids who aren't great in school and maybe stay out too late. We'll get there.

Beatrix got a promotion but I'm not sure she's that excited about it.

After a long day of programming, it's nice for Molly to chill out in the greenhouse and take notes on her plants.

It's about time! I love the little tilt to Penny's head, like she's saying, "Gee, thanks for this basic act of pet care, Bri. Really appreciate it."
