Wherein I Think Everything Is Adorable | Quickover 5.1
Here we are: the E generation. I am going to attempt to get these posts out relatively quickly so that I can get caught up to where I am now but, let's be real, no promises. There are, however, way less screen caps than in the previous generations (weird considering how much I like these Sims) so I should be able to do this in fewer posts. We'll see.
Previously: Demi and her fiancée, Isabel, welcomed their daughter, Elsie, into the family.
Isabel found out quickly that motherhood is hard. She likes to treat herself to rose petal baths whenever she gets the chance. Not sure why she'd risk her hair getting all gunky from that face mask but, hey, to each their own.
Yeah, I didn't chronicle the first couple of days of Elsie's life, sue me. She became a toddler and was adorable. My best friend said she looked exactly like this as a toddler and she's beautiful now so I only see good things to come in Elsie's future.
Again taking a break from parenting, Isabel tried (and failed) the spice challenge. As someone who is really, really wimpy when it comes to spice, I feel your pain, girl. Maybe she has a geographic tongue like I do.
Don't let the baths and outings fool you, though. Isabel is a really great mom.
I don't think I mentioned in the D generation highlights posts that Daphne adopted a dog named Nougat. Also Daphne, Demi, Isabel, and Elsie all live together. And they have a very pink living room.
Demi's well on her way to becoming a professional dancer. That path does require a lot of time in the gym, though. That figure doesn't keep itself.
I will never get tired of these animations. Playtime just looks so magical!
This. Is. So. Adorable! While there are some things I think Sims 4 is lacking, the parenting aspect is not one of them.
The family went to the park in Oasis Springs to escape the Brindleton Bay weather and while there aren't really any notable things to say about that outing, Elsie looked adorably sad in her pink sequined pants.
Even though I eventually stopped playing Daphne, I did really like her. She was just beautiful and so fun. I wanted to use her to explore the owning a business thing (I had her buy a vet clinic), but it kept glitching so that's still something I have to look into.
Anyways, here she is on a date with Keon, purely for the purpose of showing off her outfit. You saw him in the highlights post.
Also, she got pregnant pretty soon after that. Also [2], can you tell I really love her in gold and yellow tones?
Despite Demi's dance and taking care of the kid and Isabel's days at the local elementary school (she's a school librarian, did I mention that?), these two always find time to spend together. This night, they chose to apparently watch something very startling.
Again with the playtime animations! I love this family! I feel like I might say that at some point in every era but, really, these ones are very special to me.
This is the house they lived in in Brindleton Bay. I loved this house. It's by peacemaker-ic (I love his custom content and world makeovers).
Soon enough, Elsie was ready to get a little bit older.
Here she is! Adorable but with a little bit of mischief in her eyes.
As you can see, Winterfest is rapidly approaching. I'm sure Elsie was sucking up to her mom here in order to get the best new toys.
I love the science station, even if I think it's kind of ugly.
Demi looks miserable and I think Elsie can feel her pain.
It's Winterfest! An excuse for seasonal outfits and cute posed pictures by the tree! Look at these two!
This is definitely the look of someone who snooped in the presents.
Daphne and her massive pregnancy boobs was also there, obviously.
Elsie: Really, guys? Can't we just open presents?
Elsie: Maybe if I just quietly sneak away, I can grab my presents that are on the other side of the tree before their song finishes.
Finally, it's present time. Elsie seems super pleased with what she got so far. Also, I see you, creepy Father Winter.
Finally, it was time for Daphne to give birth. Even though she is doing it alone, in her house, without the father around, there are no bad feelings or anything. She just wants to be a mom on her own terms.
She had a boy, Aidan.
Demi, Isabel, and Elsie decided to give Daphne and Aidan some time together to bond and get a schedule going. They headed to Granite Falls, even though it was still a bit cold.
Elsie loved this statue. She stared at it for, like, a really long time. Knowing what I know now about what she ends up doing in life, it doesn't really surprise me that she feels kind of in her element in the wilderness.
Isabel and Demi used Elsie's exploration time for some... uh... exploration of their own. Bodily exploration.
And then this happened and everything was ruined.
Isabel: Babe!? Am I on fire!?
Demi: Yeah, uh, I'm just gonna go make sure it doesn't spread. You got this, right?
Isabel, under her breath: Yup. Got it handled. Thanks.
A shower got rid of all the of the evidence of fire but, man, these Granite Falls bugs are no joke.
Yeah, so, maybe not ideal camping season but, hey, at least they had fun! Yes, Elsie, you are an angel.
