The Possession | StrangerVille 6
Previously: Lola started to look deeper at the bizarre plants, using her microscope to examine closer. Fascinated by the things, and their fruits, she harvested one. We left off with her deciding whether or not to eat it, much to Stevie's dismay.
Was there ever any doubt? What with Lola's fascination with the bizarre plants and her desire to do more to help the team, of course she would ingest the fruit.
Lola: I'm feeling kind of weird...
I love how Sylas is just calmly sitting there, watching this go down.
Lola, but not really: Hello, can I speak to you about Mother?
It's official. Let the possession begin.
Of course, with the possession comes an even stronger pull to the plants.
Can we talk about how great this picture is? Beautiful landscape, great colors and light, and then fucking Lola, running around in the weirdest possible way. God, I love it.
There you go, Sylas, that's more like the reaction I was looking for.
Lola:
Sylas: Okay, you gotta snap out of this before Stevie gets back. She's going to kill us!
No such luck, dude. She's in it for the long haul.
Sylas: Honestly, does this fruit give you bizarre super-strength, too?!
Even if Sylas' attempts to slap Lola out of it didn't work, she soon returned back to normal on her own terms. And, yup, she's still as paranoid as ever, even with the Mother's influence lingering.
Lola: It's so weird, Sy. There's this sound I can't explain but it's always there. And my face muscles hurt so bad!
Sylas: I feel for you but you kind of chose this for yourself, you know? Don't worry, though, I'm sure Stevie's getting even closer to some bigger key to the puzzle.

Since eating the fruit, Lola has, apparently, decided to lose all of her inhibitions and do whatever her heart pleases. Streaking is what her heart pleases, I guess.
I mean... whatever makes her happy, right?
She's not all fun and games, though. She does know that she can't stay under the influence of the Mother forever, so she took the good ol' spore scanner out for a spin.
Sylas doesn't show too strong of emotions very often. While alone at the house, he decided to take out some frustration on one of the plants. Deep down, a part of him is worried that they won't be able to solve whatever it is that's going on in StrangerVille and Lola will be caught in this possession forever.

It's happening again. The Mother's taking over.
For real, though, can you imagine how fucking creepy this would be to witness?!
Lola: No big deal, just had my body contorted, but I'm fine. No complaints.
God, she is going to need one deep neck massage when this whole thing is over.
Just look at her go.

Meanwhile, Stevie is back in the Secret Lab, looking to collect even more spore clusters.
Turns out, you can get a lot down here! Wish I knew that from the beginning. Sylas came along, too, to break the news to Stevie that Lola did, in fact, eat the bizarre fruit. While she's not happy about it, there's a part of her deep down that knows it will only help them in the long run.
After finally collecting enough clusters, Stevie can get to work on analyzing them. Don't ask me how she knows how to use all this science equipment.
I won't lie, I did kind of run out of things for Sylas to do at this point.
This information is definitely all very useful and going to be super helpful in obtaining what we need for a hazmat suit.

Even though she looks crazy, Lola was coherent enough to have a conversation with Stevie in the morning.
Stevie: I'm still not entirely on board with what you decided to do but it's too late now. Just don't show up next to my bed in the middle of my sleep, okay? I don't know what I would end up doing.
