Something Wicked This Way Comes

The Realm of Magic game pack is finally being released tomorrow (and I have it and the next day off of work!).

Even though it hasn't been that long since it was revealed, it feels like way longer because of how excited I am for it. As with the last couple of packs released (Strangerville and Island Living), I am going to be doing a series dedicated just to Realm of Magic. This is definitely my most anticipated pack release since I started playing The Sims 4 (like, a year ago... I'm a late bloomer.), and I can't wait to bring the story that I have created to the blog.

It's not a terribly unique story, nor will it be anything groundbreaking, but I am going to be trying something new with it. Inspired by my sister's Strangerville series (Simming In Paradise), I am going to be taking a more story-based approach to presenting these posts. To put it simply: more words, less(ish) screencaps. This is really daunting for me, but I'm looking forward to the challenge. My other series have backstories, sure, but I don't really show them. With this Realm of Magic series, I'm putting in a bit of extra work to flesh out the story and our main character, whom you will meet soon.

Because this is going to be more work for me, it's safe to say that my ongoing Island Living series will be mostly on the back burner again, as it was for Love Island. The posts will be up to date by the time my first ROM post goes up, but I don't see myself playing that save file for a while. It's also safe (and probably needless) to say that the series I started this blog with, my Quickover alphabetacy, is pretty much on permanent hiatus. I kind of fell out of love with telling that story, and I much prefer making new characters to explore new packs with. We'll see what happens in the future.

I hope that you'll follow along with my Realm of Magic story (series name still pending... ), and that the little bit of extra effort I'm putting into it makes it an enjoyable experience for all of us. See you in Glimmerbrook.
