Take Your Daughter To Work Day | Sul Sul, Sulani! 14

by - September 09, 2019

Previously: With Vailea now a toddler, Nohea and Elei settled into a routine that focused on her. A new cat, Lilo, joined the family.

Elei can't even focus on her video game without Vailea asking a million questions.

So she shifts her focus to telling a story instead.

For some reason, Vailea is just being sad and stubborn.

It's important to Elei that she still finds time to make Ahe feel loved and special.

How many times can I put a picture of a toddler sleeping sleeping on a couch into one of my posts just because it's cute?

The family really does have a stunning view from their deck.

I don't think I have ever seen this before and it is SO ADORABLE!

Earlier she was sad, now she's just being a troublemaker.

Elei and Nohea both take a crack at making sure Vailea understands what's right and wrong.

And while Vailea is getting her lecture, Lilo decides to start tearing apart the rug!

It looks like Elei has just had enough.

What the heck! Ahe, too! The fur children and the human child are really testing their parents tonight.

After Vailea is asleep and the animals are done wreaking havoc, Elei decides to start an entirely new venture: writing a children's book about conservation. Like she doesn't have enough on her plate already...

The next morning, Vailea is a lot less cranky.

Elei and Nohea decide to combine Elei's work tasks for the day with a bit of an outing for Vailea.

Watch out, gulls! It appears as if this child has inherited her mother's passion for chasing away the flocks.

She also just really likes playing in the sand.

While Nohea and Elei wait for their daughter to be done playing, they enjoy a little romantic kiss. Vailea is definitely like, "ew, gross, stop it!"

YIKES. That doesn't look great.

The family head off in separate directions, with Nohea and Vailea heading to the water, and Elei going to, once again, explore the cave.

Nohea tries her hand at catching some fish for dinner.

But she is rudely interrupted by this person who is clearly up to no good.

Nohea: My fiancée is trying to make Sulani a better place and it would be wrong of me to not tell you to stop literring, or poaching, or whatever it is you're doing.

When Nohea's approach doesn't work, Vailea comes in to put her charm to good use.

Um, ma'am, please don't speak to a precious child like that! She's going to cry!

Not to worry, though. Elei is soon back from the cave and takes it upon herself to solve this problem.

This is merely a view appreciation post.

They grow so fast! Lilo is kind of a creepy looking cat, not going to lie.

I don't know how she managed, but Elei found the time to finish her children's book (about a baby sea turtle's journey from egg to ocean) and send it off to be self-published! Wow!

Lilo's kitten-hood mischief didn't wear off when she grew up. Elei and Nohea really have their hands full.
