Surprises | Sul Sul, Sulani! 12
Previously: Elei and Nohea welcomed a baby girl, Vailea, into their family.
Elei didn't waste any time going back to work so Nohea got to spend some quality bonding time with her daughter.
And it also happens to be Elei's birthday. Nohea has a big surprise up her sleeve.
I really wanted to take some time to appreciate this absolute look. The beret just finishes it off with such class.
After Elei returns home from work, it's time for Nohea to drop the big birthday surprise bomb (but, really, she couldn't change out of her pajamas?).
Nohea: So, I'm going to take you somewhere, and you just have to trust me, okay?
Elei: Sure! One last adventure before we're both old farts? Sounds good to me!
The girls head to Lani St. Taz, with Elei assuming she's being treated to a massage or something.
Nohea: See that house behind us? It's ours.
Elei is in shock. Like, she might honestly pass out.
She snaps out of it soon enough, though.
And waiting inside their new house? A birthday cake just for Elei.
While the layout and overall design is great, some colors and finer details are definitely going to be subjected to change.
Vailea's bassinet gets a lovely spot right by a window.
And, uh, this is new! There are a bunch of floating orbs everywhere throughout the house.
And silhouettes, too. Are these the storied Sulani Elementals?
Elei is cautious, yet curious.
There are also some orbs outside, which she definitely wants to check out, too.
Uh-oh. I don't think those were some Elemental stragglers.
Before she can even try to fight it, Elei is being sucked up into the sky, surrounded by light.
Nothing to fear, though. She is returned home in one piece, and in seemingly great spirits.
Needless to say, it's been a great night for Elei.
Ahe, however, looks to be in quite rough shape.
Once morning comes, Elei gives him a wellness treat to take all of his symptoms away. We love quick and efficient pet care!
Even though she loves being at home with her family, sometimes all Elei needs is a productive day at work.
After collecting some water samples, she finds a group of people to talk to about marine biology and conservation.
This girl doesn't look entirely convinced by Elei's spiel. Or maybe it's the blue glow that's causing a bit of concern...
While Elei is out socializing, Nohea has been promoted once again!
If I had to take samples from a nasty algae-rich part of the ocean, I'd probably be covered head to toe. But okay. The dedication is real.
Elei gets so much glee out of scaring the seagulls away.
Once she gets back home, she gives Nohea a bit of love to congratulate her on her big promotion.
I am finding it a bit hard to really show Nohea as a full character, so I'm trying to give her more hobbies and interests.
But according to Elei's face, the guitar isn't a skill mastered quickly.
To end the night, the two spend a little quality time getting close under the stars.
It won't be long before they have a toddler running around, so they need to enjoy these moments when they can get them.
