A Fish Out of Water | Pistachio 12 | Pastel Patisserie

by - July 19, 2021

Canary is looking and staying cool while her siblings and mom explore. She's much more comfortable sticking around the campsite.

She retreats to the tent to cool down and prevent any unnecessary, pesky sunburn.

And plays chess instead of chasing after bugs or frogs.

Meanwhile, the others celebrate a great Summer Fest around the fire. Hopefully it doesn't spread to one of them this time.

I guess Sage didn't provide Canary with any natural insect repellent. How rude!

Are we sure this is Sage's daughter?

This TORMENT. Dramatic, much?

Her face says it all. She is not cut out for this lifestyle.

Celery has taken it upon himself to learn the doggy obstacle course.

"Confetti, really? There's nothing worthy of confetti in these woods." - Canary, probably.

Sage used one of the grills to brew up some natural insect repellent. She kept it all for herself.

And it works great! She will be bug bite free for her visit with the Hermit, Salvatore.

How pretty is this?!

I've seen this look before. Sage is going in for the kill. While standing thigh-deep in water. How refreshing!

And she seals the deal! There is no doubt a pregnancy looming on the horizon.

Back home, the family heads to the park to get even more fresh air. Surely there's a limit?

While exploring (aka looking for shade), Canary sees a sign and decides to follow the arrow.

She stumbles upon a music festival and she is instantly drawn in.

Look at that smile! Canary thinks the outside might not be too bad if it's got music and not just the noises of insects.

Canary is so small, she slips right through the crowd and gets a front row spot.

Look at her! She's having the time of her life.

Oh... uh-oh. Dove asked Canary to go fishing with her. I think we can tell by her reaction what Canary's answer is.

Lark isn't interested in the concert, either. She's way more focused on the rock she is breaking apart.

Dove fishes while the music plays on. She wishes she had brought earplugs.

Canary didn't pick up any concert merch, but she did ask this vendor where they were visiting from. Their answer? San Myshuno. Canary listens in awe as they tell her all about the tall buildings and many opportunities. She's hook from the start. She can't wait to wave goodbye to Brindleton Bay.

I'll wrap up this post with an updated look at the portrait wall. Sage has created such a beautiful family, and there is still more to come. I know this post focused on Canary a lot, but Sage is close to completing her goals so it's time to start thinking about the next generation!
