Let's Play Catch Up | Generation 3 Highlights

by - March 10, 2019

So because I'm lazy and got way behind on posting my legacy posts, and because I have a Sim right now whom I have some big ideas for and would like to eventually chronicle here, I am briefly going to run through what went down from where I stopped posting up until now.

We left off right before Conrad would become a teenager. For reference, there was a new cat named Pickles, a weird nanny (as per usual), some camping, and other minute things I have since forgotten. Conrad was the only possible option for heir so, no matter how boring I find male Sims, we have to catch up on his life before we can move on to the way more interesting Sims I am workin' with now.

Conrad as a teen. These pictures are kind of jarring to look at because, as you'll see towards the end of this post, I have since shifted into using Maxis Match hair.

Briony and Adrienne had a series of serious fights that resulted in one of them sleeping on the couch for a while. I was considering going down the divorce route for these two but then there were some logistically things that put a stop to that. I think. I don't remember.

They were back to normal in no time.

Conrad's first brush with love came with this girl, Shanice. I thought she was so cute.

Spoiler: It doesn't last.

The whole household took a vacation to Selvadorada and it rained a lot. Like, the whole time. Conrad really took it upon himself to embrace the experience, leg pouch and all.

After returning home, he broke curfew and got grounded.

And then he was kind of rebellious for a bit until it was time to become a young adult.

Okay, okay, even I have to admit he was pretty handsome. Kind of. There's always a weird mouth thing going on with these guys. I think I cursed myself way back when. I think original daddy Erick had a weird mouth thing, too.

(Saying that made me look back on the very beginnings of this legacy and I've definitely improved with my screen capturing skills and, maybe, my captioning skills. Still kind of hate those, though. I forgot how cute Helena and Erick's wedding was.)

Beatrix put on a happy face when she learned that Conrad wouldn't be moving out quite yet. Or ever.

There was a whole photography thing for a hot second.

Then came Martina, whom Conrad met through a dating app.

Even though this is a rapid recap, I do have to appreciate some of these pictures that are definitely just here for aesthetic value.

Conrad did like taking portraits but that kind of fizzled out. But then it kind of comes back into play because there was a whole thing with all the mods breaking and then when I could put my custom careers back in, I put him in the photography one but I don't think he ever got one promotion. Oops.

Martina wasn't by herself, though. She brought a daughter named Josefa into the picture.

Cuties.

Josefa and Martina moved into the house and it was all happy and adjusting and boring.

After Conrad proposed twice and got rejected both times (ha!), he gladly said "yes" when Martina dropped to one knee.

Welcome to the Maxis Match era and, also, the wedding glitched twice and I hated it.

They got a dog. I forgot his name.

Remember Facundo, the guy from Selvadorada that kept hitting on Bea? Yup. Still up to his old ways.

The family celebrated some holidays together. Beatrix and Sai really came to love Josefa as their own granddaughter.

It didn't take that long for Martina to get pregnant. She went into labor on Winterfest.

It took quite a long time for Conrad to work up the nerve to actually go into the delivery room with his wife.

D baby number one, Daphne, came into the world. More on her next time.
